Job Overview
The General Construction Labourer will assist with a wide range of construction activities on active job sites. This role involves manual labor, teamwork, and following safety procedures to support construction projects from start to completion. All duties must be performed at the physical work location and remote work is not available.
Key Responsibilities
- Load unload and transport construction materials
- Set up and dismantle concrete forms scaffolding ramps and barricades
- Mix pour and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt
- Assist with drilling blasting and rock preparation
- Support framing work including walls and roofing
- Level and prepare ground surfaces
- Assist in demolition and site clearing
- Clean pile and sort salvaged materials
- Perform routine site maintenance tasks
- Clean chemical spills and contaminated areas
- Remove rubble debris and waste from sites
- Feed tend and support construction machinery
- Direct traffic near construction zones when required
